The boards are electrically interconnected by flexible sheet cables. The resulting assembly of boards can then be hinged at the cables, to accommodate them around the actuator or operational unit, where they conform to the shape in a self-supporting arrangement. Fastening points attach the board assembly to the equipment. The board assembly is locked and held in its new spatial arrangement. An Independent claim is included for the method of manufacture. The whole board layout is constructed flat, including population and interconnection, before bending to shape and mounting.
