Cordless mouse suitable for use in a surgery or operating theater

A cordless mouse has electrically screened movement sensor, processor and transducer components located within a sealed sterilizable housing. An input device (mouse), for moving a cursor on a monitor, comprises (a) a hermetically sealed and sterilizable housing (1) with an electric screening (7) which completely encloses a movement sensor (8), an associated processing unit (9) and a transducer (10) for converting processor signals into corresponding modulated signals; and (b) a transmitter (11) for transmitting the modulated signals to a receiver for conversion into signals for moving the cursor.
