A fluid compressor comprising a closed casing (25), compression mechanism (26) provided in the casing (25) for compressing an uncompressed low-pressure fluid and discharging a compressed high-pressure fluid into an inside space of the casing (25), and a selector valve (28) attached to the casing (25) and including a valve disk (53) which is rotatable in the casing (25) so as to change the passage of the high-ressure fluid flowing out from the inside space of the casing (25) to an outside space of the casing (25) and to switch the passage of the low-pressure fluid flowing from the outside of the casing (25) into the selector valve (28) to communicate with the compression mechanism (26).
