<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent imbalance in the mass-flow of a material to be rolled with higher accuracy than conventional methods at the time of executing hot rolling of the material to be rolled such as a steel sheet based on a forward slip using a continuous hot rolling mill provided with a hot finishing mill, for example, when the hot rolling of the material to be rolled based on the forward slip using the continuous hot rolling mill. SOLUTION: By measuring the speed of a hot rolled steel sheet 1 over the entire length with a noncontact speedometer 5 on the outlet side of the final rolling stand 2B of the continuous hot rolling mill 10 and, also measuring the circumferential speed of roll on the outlet side of the final rolling stand 2B, the forward slip is determined with a controller 6 and, at the time of executing the hot rolling of the hot rolled steel sheet 1 based on the determined forward slip, the change of the forward slip before and after the tip part of the hot rolled steel sheet 1 winds itself around a coiler 3 is calculated and the circumferential speed of roll of the final rolling stand 28 is changed so as to prevent the imbalance in the mass-flow of the hot rolled steel sheet 1 based on that change.</p> |
