<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a main spindle air curtain device with improved prevention of coolant invading into a bearing by keeping the sealing pressure of the bearing at a proper value constantly and controlling an air flow in the front end direction of a main spindle. SOLUTION: An air blowing off ring is recess-formed at the front end inner periphery of a flange which surrounds the outer periphery of a main spindle end part to form a main spindle air curtain device 100 which blocks a clearance between X between a main spindle outer periphery and a flange 2 inner periphery through air flow injecting toward the main spindle outer periphery from the ring, and at least two rows of blowing off rings 2B, 2C are formed in the axial direction of a flange inner periphery to set sealing pressure at around 0.04 kg/cm<2> .</p> |
