PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the visual acknowledgement of configuration of the final printing document easily by a method wherein an indicating means, indicating the expression of the document in a compatible visual expression in accordance with a plurality of document finishing operations, is provided to effect the compatible visual expression with a selection area, expressing the selectable document finishing operation. SOLUTION: The display for a printing system is provided with an input area, selecting a blank paper or a special sheet, an input area, selecting the format of the paper, an input area, selecting a finishing, an input area, selecting the number of printing sheet, and the like while an option, indicated in respective areas, can be selected properly. On the other hand, a visual expression 500, showing a document for printing, which can be obtained when a specified document finishing operation is selected, is permitted to be indicated on the display. 'Stapling' at an upper left corner 502, printing on an A4 format, vertical printing using the sheet of paper with the shorter side at the top, both surfaces printing and color printing can be shown as selected document finishing operations. The configuration of the final printed matter can be confirmed by a picture through the expression 500. |
