PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sintered product maintaining a high thermal conductivity and having high mechanical strengths such as high toughness by forming fine structures containing specific amount of AIN coarse particle phases and/or 27R type aluminum oxynitride polytypoid (Al9 O3 N7 ) phases having specific lengths in a mixed state in a matrix comprising aluminum nitride (AIN) particles having a specific particle diameter. SOLUTION: This sintered product has a thermal conductivity of >=110 W/mK and has fine structures comprising a matrix comprising AIN particles having an average particle diameter of <=3 μm and <30 wt.% of AIN coarse particle phases and/or 27R type aluminum oxynitride polytypoid (Al9 O3 N7 ) phases having one side length of >=5 μm in the matrix in a dispersed state. The sintered product is obtained by adding a sintering auxiliary and at least one kind of additive selected from AIN fibers, AIN whiskers and 27R type aluminum nitride polytypoid in an amount of <30 wt.% to AIN powder, molding the mixture, and subsequently sintering the molded product at a temp. of 1,500-1,700 deg.C. |
