EXPANDABLE STYRENE RESIN PARTICLE AND EXPANDABLE STYRENE RESIN MOLDED PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expandable resin particle which has a high heat resistance and easily copes with the change in the heating condition caused by steam during expansion molding, and to obtain a good expansion molded product which has a good internal state of fusion and surface state and also has a low heat-conductivity. SOLUTION: An expandable styrene resin particle comprises a base resin obtained by mixing (A) a copolymer comprising from 30 to 50 wt.% vinyl cyanide compound unit and from 70 to 50 wt.% aromatic vinyl compound unit and (B) a copolymer comprising from 20 to 60 wt.% N-substituted maleimide unit, from 75 to 10 wt.% aromatic vinyl compound unit and from 5 to 30 wt.% vinyl cyanide compound unit with a volatile blowing agent. Here, the base resin is mixed with from 85 to 98 wt.% copolymer (A) and from 2 to 15 wt.% copolymer (B).
