PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus for pattern matching, capable of using a separating fabric or a separating paper without causing an erroneous stop and excellent in operating efficiency without requiring troublesome error recovering operations. CONSTITUTION:This apparatus for pattern matching is obtained by designating whether a separating fabric or a separating paper 11 is used or not from an operation panel by a user (step S21), moving a fabric to an image pickup table and picking up the image with a camera (step S23), carrying out the prescribed image processing for the resultant image and thereby judging the presence of a pattern of the fabric (step S24), judging whether the setting of using the separating fabric or separating paper is made or not due to no pattern in the separating fabric or separating paper when the separating fabric or separating paper is transferred thereto (step S26), omitting the treatment of pattern matching including the counting of sheets when the separating fabric or separating paper is used (steps S25 to S30) and carrying out only the transfer thereof to a laminating table (step S30). |
