摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit realizing a soft clipper circuit with a CMOS technology by providing a comparator which is provided with an input terminal and controls the control node of a switching circuit. SOLUTION: In a soft clipper (compression) circuit, two signal routes are connected in parallel. One signal route is constituted of a current mirror constituted of a mutual conductor 10 and a mutual conductor 12, which are diode- connected. The other signal route shown in a dotted line box 14 realizes a necessary non-linear function. A counter circuit 26 generates a scaled knee current γiin outputted from a mutual conductor 18. A difference between signal current from the mutual conductor 18 in a node 20 and knee current is converted into a voltage signal Vs2 by a large resistor R0 . A voltage comparator 22 generates a voltage signal vk . The output of the comparator 22 controls a switch 24 and output current i0 is realized.
