PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper electrode structure for a plasma display panel(PDP) having high brightness and high efficiency by securing a large discharge area between barrier plates. SOLUTION: In a plasma display panel(PDP) equipped with an upper glass board, the upper electrode structure of the PDP comprises maintaining electrodes 22 and scanning electrodes 23 which are arranged in parallel with one another on the upper glass board at fixed intervals, pairs of electrodes 24, 25 each of which is formed protrusively from a predetermined region of the maintaining electrodes 22 and scanning electrodes 23 in one direction and facilitates the discharging of a corresponding cell, and a dielectric film and a protective film that protect the maintaining electrodes 22, scanning electrodes 23, and the discharge electrodes 24, 25. |
