PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring a color slippage capable of highly accurately measuring the color slippage, and a color image forming device even through the speed of a transfer belt is fluctuated. SOLUTION: A pattern 9A for measuring alignment slippage constituted of a K color is formed on an intermediate transfer belt 6 and detected by a pattern detector 2 so that the amount of the alignment slippage of the detector 2 in the main scanning direction X with respect to the pattern 9A is arithmetically calculated based on the detection result. A pattern B for measuring color slippage constituted of the respective colors of K, Y, M and C is formed on the belt 6 based on the amount of the alignment slippage and detected by the detector 2 so that the amount of color slippage is arithmetically calculated based on the detection result. |
