A ball 22 is hit with a stick 23 from one end of a mat 11 to strike one of a plurality of rotation bars 15 provided at the other end of the mat 11. A struck rotation bar is rotated by this operation. This rotation is detected by detecting means comprising a permanent magnet and a Hall element and the detected rotation signals are supplied to a display unit 25 via a cable 24. A computation processing part in the display unit 25 counts the number of rotations for every ball hitting and generates a table indicating which ball hitting has struck which rotation bar and an image signal showing the number of rotations to display on a television receiver. Various games can be played using the rotation bar and the number of rotations as the parameters by changing the software.
