<p>The invention relates to a template and method to install tiles (ceramic, porcel ain, ardoise, marble, etc...) which are destined to be separated one from the others. The temp late is formed by a plurality of ribs arranged to form a plurality of cells each destined to recei ve a tile. In use, one or more templates are cut to fit over the surface to be covered by the tiles. Th e templates are removed, appropriate glue or cement is applied over the surface and the template s are placed over the glue/cemented surface. The tiles are then placed in each cell. When the glue or cement has set, the template can be removed. It can also be left in place. Alternatively, t he upper portion of the template is removed while the lower portion remains in place. The lower port ion can also be provided with flanges which extend on either side of the ribs under the tiles.</p> |
