PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-dimensional array type radiation detector wherein precision of radiation shield is improved without decreasing radiation dose penetrating a subject, error of the radiation aperture area is eliminated, and artifact is not generated. SOLUTION: On a glass substrate 7, a photodiode 4 is formed on which a scintillater 1 is optically bonded. A two-dimensional scintillater 1 is subjected to dicing cut conformably to the picture element pitch of the photodiode 4. The dicing cut is performed in such a manner that the photodiode 4 layer is not damaged. The width of a trench 2 is determined by the size of a dead band of a two-dimensional photo detection element. Wires 3 are stretched along the trenches 2, to the two-dimensional scintillater array constituted in the above manner.
