Device for volume or capacity measurement of test item

The device has a test chamber of known volume with an airtight cover. The chamber's inlet and outlet each have a magnetically-operated three-way valve. A gas feed pump, a flowmeter and an oxygen concentration gauge are serially connected between the inlet and the outlet. A step by step procedure based on gas displacement and known calibration standards is followed. An Independent claim is also given for a method for using the device.
