PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with a through hole in an ink retainer and a guide refill by combining an ink flow path leading to ink retaining grooves from an ink chamber with an ink flow path for supplying an ink to a pen point using a vertical groove in the ink retainer for common use. SOLUTION: A writing utensil body comprises a barrel 1 whose rear part serves as an ink chamber 2 and an ink retainer 3 located forward of the ink chamber 2. The ink retainer 3 has a plurality of peripheral grooves formed as ink retaining grooves 4 on the outer peripheral face, and a vertical groove 5 communicating with the ink retaining grooves 4 is formed. In addition, the vertical groove 5 runs as far as the bottom part of a U groove 6 obtained by notching part of a cylindrical part forward of the ink retainer 3. The part where the U groove 6 is formed, configures a relay hole 9 with the bulged part 8 of a joint 7 and the U-groove 6 of the ink retainer 3. Further, an inner refill 10 is introduced through the relay hole 9 leaving a gap which is narrower than the width of the vertical groove 5. The inner refill 10 is introduced into a tip 11 forced into the joint 7 and the tip of the inner refill 10 reaches a position near a ball. |
