PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a pressure wave surely act on air bubbles in a recording head thereby freeing the air bubbles from a wall face. SOLUTION: When no ink flow is present, a pressure wave P by a piezoelectric vibrator 30 is transmitted up to a thin passage such as an ink feed opening 32 constituting a recording head 7, etc., thereby freeing air bubbles B staying at the point from a wall face. When an ink flow is generated in the recording head 7 in this state, the air bubbles B are carried on the ink flow and easily discharged from a nozzle opening 33. |
