PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress change in the behavior of a vehicle when the acceleration pedal is stamped or brakes are applied while the vehicle is running on a low-μroad surface. SOLUTION: When judgement is passed that the vehicle is running on a low-μroad surface, the maximum Cmax and minimum gear ratios Cmin in the D-range gear ratio region are restricted to the maximum Csmax and minimum gear ratios Csmin in Snow mode so that the extent of the shift region is narrowed, and no fuel cut for engine is performed to be executed when the degree of throttle opening is fully closed. On a low-μroad surface, excessive action of engine brake originating from the gear ratio being controlled to a greater minimum gear ratio Csmin is avoided by generating an engine torque of a certain size in which the fuel cut is prohibited, and a braking effect due to an appropriate engine brake is obtained, and the drawing-in of engine torque at the time of the acceleration pedal of being stamped again can be avoided, so that the frequency of braking operation, etc., on low-μroad surface can be reduced and also a change in the engine torque be suppressed to lead to the suppression of the change in the behavior of vehicle. |
