PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent useless plate-making operation in an apparatus for producing a stamp by irradiating a positive manuscript with light from the rear thereof in such a state that a porous printing surface forming member to be melted and solidified by the absorption of light energy is pressed to the positive manuscript. SOLUTION: At the time of plate-making operation, a maniscript is set to a predetermined position and a stamp main body is set and the size of the set stamp main body is proper to the positive manuscript and the upper lid and upper front lid covering a plate-making part are closed and, only when the stamp main body is set to a properly pressed state and a Xenon tube is in a light emittable state (all of S110-S160 are 'YES'), a light emitting command is outputted to the Xenon tube to allow the same to emit light (S170) and, when 'NO' is judged in either one of steps of S110-S160, light emission is stopped (S180). |
