PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut cost by simplifying the construction of a device and at the same time, curb the wasteful consumption of an inert gas. SOLUTION: A fuel cell modification device comprising a desulfurizer 1, a modifier 2, a CO transformer 3, etc., conventionally regulates the supply flow rate of an inert gas using a manual flow rate regulation valve and a flow rate meter. However, the construction of this conventional modification device is complicated and it is difficult to set the flow rate on this device. In this case, therefore, a tapered nozzle 9 is used. Consequently, the construction is simplified and the cost is cut by supplying the inert gas through setting the inlet and the outlet pressure of the inert gas in the tapered nozzle 9 in a specified relationship and also the intricated procedures to set the flow rate can be avoided. |
