PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outboard motor with high flushing and washing efficiency. SOLUTION: An outboard motor has a cooling water intake to accept water from the outside, a cooling water pump 27 to pump cooling water guided from the cooling water intake, a first cooling water moving-up flow passages 65, 72 extended upward from an cooling water inflow port for cooling water to flow from the cooling water pump therein, a first cooling water moving-down flow passage 62 connected at the upper end to the first cooling water moving-up flow passages and extended downward, a second cooling water moving-up flow passages 61, 71 connected at the lower ends to the first cooling water moving- down flow passage and extended upward and a second cooling water moving- down flow passage 63 connected at the upper end to the upper ends of the second cooling water moving-up flow passages and extended downward. It also has a thermostat 77 provided near the upper ends of the second cooling water moving-up flow passages and a flushing joint 81 connected to the first cooling water moving-down flow passage or the second cooling water moving-up flow passages. |
