PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a mean roughness of the axis directional center line of the inside surface of a tubular member forming a lumen to a specific value or less in a catheter provided with a guide wire inserting lumen. SOLUTION: An expansion catheter is constructed of tubular members 1-3 and an adapter 8 to which the tubular members 1-3 are connected. In the outer tubular member 1, an expansion body 4 is provided in the distal end, while the outer tubular member 2 provided with tensile elasticity comparatively higher than that of the outer tubular member 1 is connected to the proximal side concentrically. On the inside of the outer tubular members 1, 2, an inner tubular member 3 made of polyethylene is arranged. In this case, the axis directional center line mean roughness Ra1 of the inside surface of the inner tubular member 3 is set to be 0.30 μm or less, while a ratio Ra1 /Ra2 of the axis directional center line means roughness Ra1 to the circumference directional center line mean roughness Ra2 is set to be 0.5 or less. |
