摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for baking ceramic honeycomb structure free from occurrence of crack in baking even when raw kaolin is used a cordierite raw material in baking a ceramic honeycomb structure having thin wall. SOLUTION: In a method for baking ceramic honeycomb structure comprising extruding cordierite raw material containing at least raw kaolin into a honeycomb structure, forming the honeycomb structure and baking the formed structure, raising rate between 400-600 deg.C is kept to <=70 deg.C/hr when a honeycomb having <=4.6 mil rib thickness is baked. As a preferable manner, when honeycomb having 4.6-4.0 mil rib thickness is baked, raising rate between 400-600 deg.C is kept to <=70 deg.C/hr or when honeycomb structure having 3.9-2.0 mil rib thickness is baked, raising rate between 400-600 deg.C is kept to <=40 deg.C/hr.
