Opening arrangements for packaging containers, e.g. consumer packages for drinks, normally have a main portion connected to the packaging container and being in the form of a frame which extends at least partly around an openable region. The opening arrangement moreover has a lid and an opening portion which are pivotally connected to the main portion for movement between a closed and an open position around axes which are mutually parallel but located in spaced apart relationship. In order to facilitate the opening phase and to give the consumer an opportunity to decide whether the package has been previously opened, the opening portion is connected to the openable region (17), both the lid (2) and the opening portion (8) including mechanical connecting members (10) which interconnect the opening portion (8) with the lid (2) when these are in the closed position, but release the opening portion from the lid when they are in the open position. |
