The device with an electrolyser (1), a fuel cell and hose connections for the fuel cell product gases generated in the electrolyser includes the device to separate the product gases from the liquid electrolyte. The hose connections remain essentially free of this liquid. There are also devices (7 to 9) to give pressure equalisation in the electrolyser. Two of these are return flow pipelines for separating the product gases from the liquid electrolyte.
