The electromagnetic switching valve (1) has a coil housing (2) with a valve plate (15) coupled to a magnetic armature (8) via an intermediate rod (16). The front side of the valve plate is provided with an elastomer sealing lip insert having stop projections, projecting from the rear side of the valve plate, for cooperation with a disc (20) attached to the intermediate rod and a damping stop cooperating with the bearing ball at the end of the intermediate rod.
