The apparatus has a rectangular housing and is made from parts which are convenient to assemble. The housing plates (3,4), base plate (2) and rear connecting plate (7,8) form the housing, which is finally connected to a removable cover (18). Paper transfer roller shaft bearing holders (5,6) are attached to the housing interior, enabling rapid, easy roller replacement.
