METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETERMINING A CAPACITOR AGEING CONDITION

The invention concerns a method for detecting a capacitor (2) ageing condition which consists, in an experimental acquisition phase, in: determining a law for the capacitor ageing; measuring the end signals (Ve, -Is, Ie, -Vs), the external temperature (Te) and the undulation ( DELTA Vo) at the capacitor terminals, for a variation over time and in a given range, of the external temperature and the end signals; defining a first reference relationship giving the variation of the undulation component ( DELTA Vog) according to external temperature; and, in a test phase,: measuring the end signals, the external temperature and the undulation; and on the basis of the component of the undulation test to external temperature for testing end signal test values, deducing by means of the first reference relationship and the ageing law, the capacitor failure condition.
