The profiled sealing section (1) has a holding part (6) fixable on a flange (2) of an opening in the vehicle body, and an elastic sealing part (12) fixed on the holding part and interacting with the closing element (4) which closes the opening. The sealing part has a first hollow section (13) fixed on the holder and a second hollow section (26) fixed on a support wall (17) of the first section by a rib (27). The rib extends in the direction (28) of the closing movement of the closure element. The rib can be connected between the long ends (29,30) of the support wall. The second hollow section has an oval shape at least in the relaxed starting position of the sealing part.
