Subterranean conveyer belt jump-on jump-off point for miners or tunnel workers

An underground mine or tunnel has a conveyer belt which serves both to transport minerals from the mining face, and to move personnel over considerable distances. The belt has purpose-built mounting and dismounting bridges parallel with and immediately adjacent to the moving belt. In lieu of the normal shallow V cross-section, at the jump-on dump-off points the belt rests flat (21) on the rollers over which it moves.
