PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antistatic agent which is excellent in antistatic properties and persistence thereof by compounding a glycerol fatty acid ester, a diglycerol fatty acid ester and an aliph. alcohol. SOLUTION: This antistatic agent is prepd. by compounding 100 pts.wt. ester component comprising 20-80 wt.% glycerol fatty acid ester (A) and 80-20 wt.% diglycerol fatty acid ester (B) with 30-200 pts.wt. aliph. alcohol (C), The resin compsn. is prepd. by compounding 100 pts.wt. olefinic resin selected from among a low-density polyethylene, an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer and an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer with 0.1-0.8 pt.wt. antistatic agent prepd. as above. Ingredient A is exemplified by glycerol monostearate and glycerol monolaurate; ingredient B, by diglycerol distearate and diglycerol sesquistearate; and ingredient C, by stearyl alcohl and oleyl alcohol.
