PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking device for a vehicle, which allows automatic braking and braking applied by a driver to be compatible with each other by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This braking device for a vehicle is equipped with a braking pressure addition units 26 and 27, which receive both control pressure generated at a proportion solenoid valve 20, and the pressure of a master cylinder 2 to output braking pressure based on the control pressure and/or master pressure, and with wheel brakes FR, FL, RR and RL which receive braking pressure generated by the braking pressure addition units 26 and 27 through braking passages 28 and 29, each braking pressure addition unit 26 and 27 has each simple but stepped piston 46 and 47 built in inside, and the addition pistons 46 and 47 have respective independent pressure bearing surfaces to be subjected to the control pressure and master pressure. |
