PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an excessive pedal drawing by the pump driving, by smoothly controlling a high brake pressure in a sudden brake area, even with a small negative pressure booster, as well as realizing a pressure increase or decrease speed corresponding to the pedal speed, and reducing the energy consumption by the pump driving. SOLUTION: In a brake pressure control using a negative pressure booster 1b, a master cylinder 1a, a pump 121, and pressure control valves 81 and 83, a pedal stepping amount detector 103p, a pedal operation speed detecting means 110, and a negative pressure switch 102 for booster aiding limit detection, are provided, a pump is driven at the pressure higher than the aiding limit, so as to high pressure control the wheel brake pressure higher than the aiding limit output of a booster, and the pump driving is stopped when the pressure is returned to less than the aiding limit so as to maintain a control mode to maintain the wheel brake pressure. |
