PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for judging the lifetime of photoreceptors, which can accurately judge the dispersed lifetime of individual photoreceptor without being affected by a charging voltage output system. SOLUTION: This device 10 is arranged so as to abut on a photoreceptor 12 having an optical conductive layer in a surface thereof. A charging brush 14 charges a surface of the photoreceptor 12. A charging voltage detecting line 34 and a charging voltage monitor signal line 36 detect the voltage to be applied to the charging brush 14. A control device 18 measures the time to be required for achievement of the detected voltage to the predetermined voltage, and judge the life of the photoreceptor 12 on the basis of this time. |
