<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electric charge controlling agent excellent in high temp. stability and durability, not adversely affecting the fixability and anti-offsetting property of the toner when it is used in the toner, ensuring rapid kick-off of electrostatic charge of the toner and less liable to cause a fault in color tone because it is colorless or light-colored by using a specified salt forming compd. SOLUTION: The electric charge controlling agent is at least one salt forming compd. represented by the formula kA<+> .B<-k> [where kA<+> is 1 or 2 A cations, (k) is 1 or 2 and B<-k> is an anion based on a benzenesulfonic acid deriv. of formula I or an anion based on a naphthalenesulfonic acid cleriv. of formula II. In the formulae I, II, Z is hydroxyl, optionally substd. alkyl, alkenyl or COOH, (k) is 1 or 2, (g) and (h) are integers of 1-3, k+g+h<=6 and (m) and (n) are integers of 1-3.</p> |
