PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly perform recognition by outputting a map surface screen and crossing display information that cannot be obtained on the map surface screen as driving guide information based on data stored into a storage means such as map data and current position data being detected. SOLUTION: This navigator has, for example, a range finder 1, a steering meter 2, an input interpretation table 5, a data processing control part 6, a driving control part 7, and navigation, map, photograph crossing, and sound data files 9, 10, 11, and 12. Before driving, route data, map data, or the like to a destination are read from files 9-11 and written into an image memory. Then, the information of a crossing to be guided is set. After that, a map display flag is turned ON/OFF for displaying a map screen by judging whether distance to the crossing where a vehicle should turn is equal to or larger than a specific value or not. The map display flag is inverted for each time when a switch is turned on, and the image display is switched accordingly. |
