PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inductive head using a metallic glass alloy as the cores which shows soft magnetic property at room temp. and can be easily obtd. in a thicker bulk state in comparison with an amorphous alloy thin sheet obtd. by a conventional liquid quenching method. SOLUTION: This head has bulk cores 12 produced by sintering a powder of soft magnetic metallic glass alloy having the following properties. The metallic glass alloy essentially consists of one or more elements of Fe, Co, Ni and contains B and one or more elements of Zr, Nb, Ta, Hf, Mo, Ti, V. The metallic glass alloy shows >=20 deg.K temp. differenceΔTx in the supercooled liquid region expressed by the equation ofΔTx=Tx-Tg, wherein Tx is the initiating temp. of crystallization and Tg is the glass transition temp.
