High temperature seal with two metal plates

The two metal plates (12,14) have a shared outer periphery and an opening formed by an inner periphery and which extends through each of the plates. One opening through the plates is aligned so that the opening in the first plate is clamped tightly by the opening in the second plate. Part of the inner periphery of the opening in the first plate faces an inner surface of the second plate, and part of the inner periphery of the opening in the second plate faces the inner surface in the first plates.
