The separator has an air guide (18) to separate air for flow to outlets adjacent to the vehicle sidewalls (25-27) in the foot space and an inner air outlet (28). The air guide (18) is in the flow path to a sidewall air outlet so that the flow resistance is reduced. The air outlets are arranged so that the speed in each flow path is only slightly increased with respect to the input speed.
