FIELD: biotechnology, technical microbiology. SUBSTANCE: consortium is isolated from soils of littoral zone of South Far East. Consortium is natural associations of petroleum-oxidizing microorganisms. Oxidative activity of consortium (by the end oxidation product) is 2041 mg CO2 for 30 days. Advantage of this consortium is a capability to grow on depleted nutrient medium and to oxidize petroleum and petroleum products at high rate. This ensures to use this consortium for biological treatment of soils, grounds and waters polluted with petroleum, petroleum products and mazut residues.
