FIELD: wood industry, applicable in stationary cross-cutting installations with longitudinal feed of full-length log. SUBSTANCE: the device uses posts in which a cylindrical guide is rigidly installed, supporting beam mounted in parallel with the guide beam. The supporting beam carries the carriage pressure roller; the guide beam is located between the supporting beam and the carriage grip, and the carriage has a supporting slide block and by means of the slide block it is installed on the guide for its enveloping. As soon as the traction member is engaged, the cable moves the carriage with squeezed full-length log to the sawing zone. Vertical breaking forces arising at motion have no negative effect, since they cause only a free turn of the carriage in the guide. EFFECT: enhanced reliability, considerably reduced mass. 2 dwg
