PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user holding a portable telephone set with area information. SOLUTION: Information providing sources C-1, C-2 and C-n are provided with service providing systems 3, 4 and 5 provided with shop information data bases 6, 7 and 8. A telephone company B is provided with an area information telephone number data base 17, a position detection processing part 19 and a key word detection processing part 20. The user A holding the portable telephone set 1 requests information provision to the telephone company B through the telephone set 1 and the telephone company B detects the present position of the user in the position detection processing part 19 and finds the telephone number of the pertinent information providing source from the telephone number data base 17. The information providing source of the telephone number and the portable telephone set 1 are line-connected by the telephone company B. Thus, the user is provided with the information from the shop information data base of the information providing source. |
