PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide colorful and effective modification by enabling beautiful design by performing the modification to components in a document without requiring labor of an operator and without depending on sense or knowledge, and performing the design after required empty areas are secured when the empty areas required for the modification do not exist around the design element of a design object. SOLUTION: A CPU 1 analyzes the structure of the entire document for each document unit and among the respective components, the predetermined component is plotted as the design element of the design object. Then, modification information corresponding to the attribute of the extracted design element is retrieved and based on that information, the design element is modified. When empty area required for designing that element does not exist around the design element in that case, the element is designed after the required empty area is secured. |
