<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extremely superior effect in performance and reliability improvement of a headlamp for vehicle of such type by precisely switching an always low beam light distribution and a main beam light distribution, and preventing the influence of mechanical friction. SOLUTION: A light source 2 is disposed as a position which forms a low beam light distribution against a reflecting mirror 3, and a light shield hood 4 for forming low beam light distribution is provided. When main beam light distribution is obtained at a part covering a lower half part 3b of the reflecting mirror 3 of this light shield hood 4, an opening 4a opened by movement of a movable hood 5 is provided, and additionally, and when the main beam light distribution is obtained, a diffusion prism 6 to be inserted into an appropriate position in an optical path is provided, thereby fixing mutual positions of the light source 2, the reflecting mirror 3, and the light shield hood 4.</p> |
