SOLUTION: In the case that a deviation between a physical center on a screen and a raster center is produced, a horizontal phase adjustment circuit 25 adjusts a horizontal phase. In this case, the linearity in the horizontal direction is distorted and the phase is adjusted, and the adjustment circuit 25 and a horizontal linearity data generating circuit 26 detect difference data for each line with a deflection current required to obtain normal horizontal linearity. A coefficient arithmetic control section 27 based on the result of detection changes a coefficient for interpolation processing to one-line luminance signal and color difference signals converted into digital signals to conduct interpolation processing and the result is stored in line memories 12, 14, from which the signals are read in a timing corresponding to interpolation processing control, the digital signal is D/A-converted and restored into analog luminance and color difference signals to correct the horizontal linearity.
