PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a granular food product mainly comprising konjak, eatable in combination with boiled rice or the like without incompatible sensation. SOLUTION: Konjak is used as a main raw material and mixed with cereal flour, starch and saccharide and <=20% of water and they are pelletized to give the objective food product. When an indigestible saccharide is used as a saccharide, the calorie can be reduced. This granular food product is produced through the following four steps: the first step where cereal flour and starch are added to konjak dissolved in water and they are mixed to give a gel of konjak mixture; the second step where the konjak mixture is pelletized; the third step where the pellets are soaked in a saccharide solution to exchange the water inside of the pellets with the saccharide and the fourth drying step where the exchanged pellets are dried to <=20% water content. |
