<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the manufacture of a resinous diaphragm valve body. SOLUTION: A diaphragm valve body comprises a resinous solid member 10 having a passage 11 and a valve sealing part 12, flange couplings 30 formed independently of the solid member so as to fit around the passage inlet and outlet ends of the solid member, and a fixing means to fix the couplings to the solid member. The fixing means is typically a fixing member 40 adapted to be interposed between the couplings on both the sides and also fixed to the couplings and the solid member. The valve body is arbitrarily mounted with spacers 20 each divisible into a plurality of circumferential sections at its positions between the solid member and the couplings. Each of the spacer sections has the first locking part to be locked on the solid member and the second locking part to lock the coupling; when fitted on the coupling, the first locking part is secured on the solid member while the second locking part locks the coupling in place. This solid member is cut out of, for example, polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) material.</p> |
