<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy producing method of a spherical toner having a small particle size and narrow distribution of the particle size, and excellent in low temp. fixing property, blocking resistance and fluidity. SOLUTION: This method includes the following processes. (I) In the first process, a resin (A) which shows self-dispersibility in water by neutralization, an org. compd. (B) having a lower glass transition temp. or melting point than the glass transition temp. of the resin (A), showing no self-dispersibility with water or showing weak self-dispersibility with water by neutralization than the resin (A) and having 400 to 1500 number average mol.wt., a coloring agent (C), and a neutralizer (D) are dissolved or dispersed in an org. solvent (E) to prepare an oily liquid mixture. (II) In the second process, the oily liquid mixture produced in the first process is subjected to phase transmission and emulsified in an aq. medium to obtain an aq. medium dispersion of color resin particles having such a structure that the org. compd. (B) is housed in a capsule. (III) In the third process, the color resin particles are separated from the aq. medium dispersion liquid of the color resin particles produced in the second process, and then the particles are dried.</p> |
