PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device which resists developer deterioration over a long period of time even in the vertical direction of carrying and supplying of developer. SOLUTION: In the developing device 100, an mount of developer 160 which is carried to a developing area as a sleeve 120 moves, an amount of the developer 160 which is carried onto a developing magnet roll 130, and the ability to carry the developer upward from the surface of the developing magnet roll 130 are adjusted. Therefore, the developer 160 which is not passed between a layer formation member 190 and the sleeve 120 after has been supplied onto the developing magnet roll 130 forms a stagnation part 161 between the layer formation member 190 and a first draw-up roll 140 while an empty space is kept left above it. |
